Raptors missing Murray-Boyles for game against Warriors Tuesday

The Toronto Raptors are going to be missing three major contributors against the Golden State Warriors on Tuesday due to injury, as Collin Murray-Boyles, RJ Barrett and Jakob Poeltl are all listed out.

Murray-Boyles is listed as out, so the Raptors will be missing CMB, Barrett, Poeltl and Walter in Golden State tonight. Still no injury report for the Warriors, who are in the 2nd half of a back-to-back, but they’ll be without Jimmy Butler (who reportedly tore his ACL last night)

Bench guard Ja’Kobe Walter is also going to miss the contest.

Murray-Boyles was added to the injury report with a thumb injury, per TSN’s Josh Lewenberg. The rookie forward played 25 minutes on Sunday against the Los Angeles Lakers after getting the start, where he finished with 11 points, seven rebounds and five assists.

Murray-Boyles was forced into the centre role at times against Los Angeles as Poeltl continues to miss time with a back injury. The 6-foot-7 forward struggled defensively, allowing Lakers centre Deandre Ayton to set a team record with a 10-for-10 night from the field.

Barrett has not played since he logged 28 minutes against the Boston Celtics on January 9, missing the past five games with an ankle injury. He has averaged 19.6 points and 5.0 rebounds per game in 23 games this season.

Poeltl’s last game came on December 21 against the Brooklyn Nets, where he played just seven minutes. He has averaged 9.7 points and 7.7 rebounds a game in 21 contests this season.

The Warriors are playing on the second half of a back-to-back, and will be without star forward Jimmy Butler, who suffered a torn ACL in their game on Monday.

Toronto dropped the first game of a five-game road trip against the Lakers on Sunday, 110-93. They will make stops in San Francisco to play the Warriors, Sacramento against the Kings, Portland against the Trail Blazers and in Oklahoma City against the defending-champion Thunder.

The Raptors sit fourth in the Eastern Conference at 25-19 in the midst of a west coast road trip, and have won just two of their past six games.
