Man Utd eyeing move to sign 'one of the best players of his generation' ahead of Arsenal -…

Manchester United are one of the sides tracking 17-year-old Brazilian sensation Rafael Belinho ahead of a possible move, according to journalist Ryan Taylor.

United have focused some of their recruitment over the last few years on trying to sign the best up-and-coming talent from around the world. The likes of Diego Leon, Ayden Heaven, and Chido Obi have arrived for small fees, hoping to develop them into elite-level talents in the future.

Although the Red Devils need to bring in new additions to help their senior squad, acquiring youngsters who they can sell for profit or develop into first-team players is crucial in the modern era. While United supporters might not see the results in the present, it will certainly benefit them in the long run, but there's no doubt they need reinforcements to help them in the here and now, alongside that.

Man Utd Eyeing Brazilian Talent

According to a report from The Mirror, Manchester United are tracking 17-year-old sensation Belinho, alongside fellow Premier League side Arsenal. The Brazilian gem has been described as 'one of the best' of his generation, while he's just signed for Croatian side NK Kustosija.

It's claimed that the idea, as it stands, for Belinho is to develop with the Croatian outfit, allowing him to move to one of Europe's elite clubs when he's 18. The likes of Real Madrid, Barcelona, and Borussia Dortmund are also tracking the young star, so a move to a big club in the near future feels inevitable.

Brexit regulations prevent Belinho from making the move to the Premier League until he turns 18, so his recent transfer to NK Kustosija wouldn't have scuppered any plans from United or Arsenal.

Man Utd Need Signings for Here and Now

As mentioned, United also need to bring in new additions for this season, alongside their pursuit of young talents. Michael Carrick recently secured a phenomenal victory over Manchester City in the Premier League, and it's time for them to back him with reinforcements.

It's no secret that United's squad isn't good enough to regularly challenge for the European places, so they need to give Carrick the tools to try and work his magic this season. The former Middlesbrough boss might not be in charge longer than the remainder of this campaign, but new additions who could work under future managers are necessary for the Red Devils.
