Liverpool drew a fourth successive Premier League game on Saturday as Burnley claimed a point at Anfield ahead of the Reds’ upcoming Champions League trip to Marseille.
Florian Wirtz gave Liverpool the lead in the first half, but Marcus Edwards equalised after the break. Liverpool, never more than a goal ahead, were unable to hold on for the win.
In transfer news, Liverpool’s failure to sign Marc Guehi has been confirmed, with the Crystal Palace captain joining Manchester City and describing his new club as “the best team in England.”
Arne Slot’s side could still be active in the transfer market before the window closes, with links to Alessandro Bastoni and Yan Diomande emerging. Both, however, appear more likely to be summer targets.
Liverpool are reportedly back in the race for Wolves midfielder Andre. According to Brazilian outlet RTI Esporte, the Reds have already shown concrete interest in the 24-year-old and are closely monitoring both his performances and statistical output in the Premier League.
The report claims Liverpool “intend to make an offer” for André. Despite Wolves’ struggles this season, the midfielder continues to maintain a strong reputation and is regarded as one of the leading players in his position in England.
His form has also attracted attention from clubs in Italy and Turkey, but Liverpool are said to be the most advanced English side in the pursuit so far. RTI Esporte adds that Liverpool’s interest is not contingent on Wolves’ league position.
Liverpool had previously shown interest in the Brazilian during the summer of 2023 while seeking to strengthen their midfield, but turned their attention to Wataru Endo after Fluminense confirmed the midfielder would remain at the club until the end of the year.
Andre joined Wolves in August 2024 on a contract running until June 2029. The club are not considering a loan deal and would only entertain a permanent transfer. Wolves are believed to value the midfielder at no less than €30m (£25.6m), which would likely represent a minimum price, with the final fee expected to be higher.
