NBA YoungBoy says he’d only perform in Baton Rouge at LSU Stadium

BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - Baton Rouge rapper NBA YoungBoy says he would only consider performing in his hometown if the show took place at LSU Tiger Stadium.

The comment came during an interview with Complex for its January 2026 cover story, where the artist was asked whether he would ever perform in Baton Rouge.

“Only if I could perform at LSU stadium,” YoungBoy said. “That’s the only way.”

YoungBoy, whose real name is Kentrell Gaulden, has not performed a full concert in Baton Rouge in recent years, despite being one of the city’s most globally recognized artists.

His recent national tour stopped in New Orleans, which he described as the closest thing to a homecoming.

During the interview, YoungBoy said he still listens to local Baton Rouge artists and described his upbringing in the city.

The rapper recently completed his first major national arena tour, which grossed more than $70 million and marked his return to live performances following years of legal restrictions.
