Arsenal clinched a brilliant seventh victory in the Champions League, putting on a show at Inter Milan.

The Gunners kicked off the match in fine form, creating opportunities and finding the back of the net after Gabriel Jesus capitalised on Jurrien Timber's misfired shot. However, Petar Sucic levelled the score just eight minutes later as Arsenal failed to clear their lines.

Jesus reclaimed the lead for Arsenal from another set-piece, with Bukayo Saka's corner being headed back across by Leandro Trossard before the Brazilian himself nodded it in. Viktor Gyokeres also found the net late in the game, delivering a curling strike after some fortunate interplay with Saka. The Gunners truly earned this win, sending a strong message to the rest of Europe.

Here's how the Daily Star Sport rated the performances of the Arsenal players.

David Raya – Could do very little about the opening Inter goal, which was brilliantly struck by Sucic. Was tested by Dimarco before half-time, twice, saving from the Italian at relatively close range. 7.

Jurrien Timber – It was the Dutchman's attempt which would be stabbed past Sommer by Jesus and the defender linked up well again, back on his natural right side, with Saka. 7.

William Saliba – Found the block initially from Marcus Thuram for the equaliser, but couldn't recover to prevent the follow-up. Had to stay strong and calm under pressure and did well but was outshone by his young partner this time, which is by no means a criticism. 8.

Cristhian Mosquera – The Spaniard was a defensive rock, expertly thwarting early Inter attacks on the Arsenal box. His world-class defending in a two-on-one situation against Sucic and Thuram was particularly impressive. A stellar performance. 9.

Myles Lewis-Skelly – He played a key role in the first goal with a fantastic cross. His recovery challenge at the back post stopped Henrique from scoring, and he won a goal kick by deflecting a ball off Barella in the second half. Solid display. 8.

Martin Zubimendi – He contributed to the first goal but looked shaky for the equaliser, turning his back on Sucic's shot. Nearly gifted Lautaro Martinez a goal, but luckily it went wide. His pass with the outside of his boot in the build-up for the third goal was sublime. 7.

Mikel Merino – Playing again in the left-eight midfield role, the team seemed quite open with him there, lacking the recovery pace to transition like Declan Rice. However, when in possession, his value, especially in tight spaces, was clear. 7.

Eberechi Eze – He was involved in Arsenal's build-up play but the Gunners looked vulnerable during turnovers. Had a good chance at the start of the second half, but his left-footed shot was easily saved by Sommer. 6.

Bukayo Saka – His first opportunity came within the initial four minutes, cutting inside before his shot was blocked. His corner to the back post led to the second Gunners goal. He missed a significant chance in the second half when played in by Gabriel Jesus, blocked by Bastoni. 8.

Gabriel Jesus – Scored a poacher's goal within the first 15 minutes, his first since the 4-1 victory over Aston Villa. The second, another right place right time moment, heading in after a well-worked corner kick. 9.

Leandro Trossard – His headed return pass was spot on for Jesus to tap-in the Arsenal second. Left-footed volley at the back-post, across goal and just wide of the right post. 7.

Substitutes:

Declan Rice – Came on to help solidify the midfield in place of Eze, pushing Merino further up. 7.

Ben White – Replaced Timber, who gets a good rest ahead of Manchester United on Sunday. 6.

Gabriel – What a luxury to be able to bring on late in a game. 7.

Viktor Gyokeres – Replaced the man of the match Jesus late on and scored with a curling strike after a fortuitous passage of play. 7.

Gabriel Martinelli – Came on late on for Trossard. Had a run at goal, but a poor touch took the ball away from him and into the arms of Sommer. n/a.
