Report: Chiesa willing to lower salary demands for Juve move

Federico Chiesa has not enjoyed the most pleasant of Liverpool careers - on a personal level at least.

The 28-year-old can count himself as a Premier League champion, but he figured only marginally under Arne Slot during the 2024/25 title-winning campaign.

This season has been hardly any better with the Italy international only managing one top-flight start to date. Signed from Juventus in September 2024 for a fee that could reach £12.5m Chiesa is under contract at Anfield until 2028.

However it would be a major surprise if the winger remained at the club that long with talk gathering steam over a return to Serie A.

Juventus want deal for Chiesa

Juventus are among the teams to have had a look at signing Chiesa this winter - althoughthe Old Lady only want to re-sign their former player on an initial loan deal.

Various reports have indicated that Liverpool WOULD entertain an exit for Chiesa in the January window - but only on a permanent basis.

Now a report in Calcio Mercato lays out Liverpool’s terms for a permanent move - a deal worth between £13m and £17m.

That might seem a lot for a player who’s hardly featured but it’s clear that sporting director Richard Hughes is going to stick to his guns - otherwise Chiesa will stay.
