Arsenal secured qualification for the knockout stages of the Champions League courtesy of a 3-1 win over Italian side Inter Milan on Tuesday night.
The Gunners arrived in Milan knowing that a draw would be enough to secure a top-eight finish in the group phase and reach the next round, and Mikel Arteta’s side got off to a strong start when Gabriel Jesus put them in front.
Petar Sucic then drew the hosts level, before Jesus doubled his and Arsenal’s tallies to restore the Gunners’ advantage.
Striker Viktor Gyokeres then added a third for Arteta’s side in the closing stages, maintaining Arsenal’s flawless record in the Champions League so far this term.
The north London outfit will now revert their attention to the Premier League and will hope to maintain their advantage at the top of the table when they host Manchester United on Sunday.
In the meantime, it appears that one member of Arteta’s squad could depart The Emirates prior to that match.
According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, winger Ethan Nwaneri is set to join French side Marseille on loan for the remainder of the current campaign.

It is claimed that the 18-year-old has accepted a proposal to join the Ligue 1 side for the next six months, with Arsenal viewing a top flight loan move as the best next step for the player.
Nwaneri is a product of Arsenal’s youth system and made his professional debut for the club in September 2022, in doing so becoming the youngest player in Premier League history.
He enjoyed a fantastic breakthrough season last term, scoring nine goals in 37 appearances for Arteta’s side across all competitions.
This season has been a different story, however, with the Englishman having struggled for game time in north London.
In total he has played just 17 times so far this term, and he is yet to start a single match in the Premier League.
Arsenal boss Arteta is said to have spoken with current Marseille manager Roberto De Zerbi – formerly of Brighton and Hove Albion – and it has been decided by the Spaniard that the French side will be the ideal destination for the player.
