The Kings had their 4-game winning streak snapped by the Portland Trail Blazers on Sunday night. Will Sacramento get back on track tonight? Hopefully not! Let’s get into it.
Who: Sacramento Kings (12-31) vs. Miami Heat (22-21)
Where: Golden 1 Center, Sacramento, CA
When: 7:00 PM PT / 10:00 PM ET
Watch: NBCSCA / League Pass
Something I’ve asked myself more times this season than I ever could have predicted: Is Dylan Cardwell my favorite player on this team? I’m still searching for the answer, but he’s up there. While Maxime Raynaud and Domantas Sabonis struggled against Portland on Sunday, Cardwell actually led all Kings centers in minutes, and looked pretty good doing it. He’s such a different type of player than what the Kings have had in the center spot, and it’s refreshing.
What does that have to do with tonights game against the Miami Heat? I don’t know. We’re running out of interesting things to hash out here. I can attempt to tie it all together: what is Doug Christie’s solution at center?
Domantas Sabonis hasn’t started since he returned to the lineup two games ago. At some point, Christie is going to pull the trigger and place him back in the starting unit, right? And then who heads to the bench? And who doesn’t play at all? If Cardwell is the casualty, he will be missed.
Prediction: Kings 115, Heat 108.
