Big star has agreed Chelsea move–Blues can sign striker for£87M–Chelsea working hard on striker deal

Here is a roundup of the top Chelsea news, gossip and transfer latest from icchelseanews that we think you could have missed…

Reports have Claimed that Chelsea are hoping to offload striker David Datro Fofana in this transfer window.

Joao Pedro was Chelsea’s most expensive signing at £60m last summer, but a further £200m was spent on key additions Jamie Gittens, Alejandro Garnacho, Estevao Willian, Jorrel Hato and Liam Delap.

Those arrivals helped CHELSEA win the Conference League last season and lift the Club World Cup trophy over the summer, beating Champions League holders PSG in the final, but there are players that are no longer needed at the club

23-year-old Fofana joined Chelsea from Molde in 2023, but has not managed to crack the first-team, nor has he impressed overly in loan spells with Union Berlin, Göztepe, Burnley, and Fatih Karagümrük, where he is currently plying his trade.

All parties are interested in finding him a permanent move this month, with Fabrizio Romano reporting that Celtic, Royal Antwerp, and Derby County have expressed an interest in doing a deal.

Since joining CHELSEA, Datro Fofana has scored 16 goals in 61 appearances for six teams, including the Blues’ Under-21s.

Fofana had all the attributes to be a quality player for CHELSEA, he could be a striker that scores a ton of goals, but that big move came too early and he has struggled to reignite his career with these loan moves.

If the Blues really want to get rid of Fofana, they will, there are some clubs interested and he wants to make that move away.

VINICIUS HAS AGREED MOVE

Real Madrid forward Vinicius Junior has ‘already agreed’ to join Chelsea in the summer transfer window, according to the latest reports in the media which have started speculating about a possible move.

Vinicius has been in the headlines for all the wrong reasons over the past few weeks ever since news broke that he was one of the players that helped end Xabi Alonso’s time at the Bernabeu.

The Madrid fans have even turned on the Brazilian star, and recent reports in the Spanish media have claimed that President Florentino Perez is very much open to the idea of letting some of his big players leave the club, if the right offer is made.

But A ‘Galactico’ at Santiago Bernabeu is generating talk of a Premier League transfer being made in 2026, as reports have claimed that Vinicius could be the big name that arrives at Stamford Bridge in a move that could cost the club over £130 million

Now, according to reports on Fichajes, The Brazil international ‘already has an agreement in place to become their star player next summer’ and CHELSEA are prepared to meet the massive asking price that is placed on the head of Vinicius.

IcChelseanews says…

Vinicius can be a world class player on his day, but he does not score the amount of goals that a player of his stature does, he does not put in the performances that many expect him too, and there is a reason why those Real Madrid fans are booing the man.

If he does leave Madrid at the end of the season, we are sure that it will not be for the Premier League because the Brazilian would hate it, it is much more likely that he gets a mega money offer to make the move to Saudi Arabia.

ALVAREZ FEE SET

Spanish giants Athletico Madrid are open to letting star striker Julian Alvarez leave the club at the end of the season

The Argentine was never a guaranteed starter at Man City but still scored 36 goals across two seasons at the club and won the Champions League and FA Cup as well as the two league titles.

Alvarez has enjoyed a productive spell in the Spanish capital since his £82m move from Manchester City in 2024, scoring 29 goals during his first season at Atletico, and the 25-year-old Argentina international, who won two Premier League titles at the Etihad Stadium, has scored another 11 goals so far this season.

But according to the Daily Mail, CHELSEA have joined the growing list of clubs who are interested in signing Alvarez and although Madrid have so far shown no desire to sell Alvarez, it is claimed a summer move is possible if suitors are prepared to pay 100m euros (£87m).

Asked about the speculation surrounding his future at Atletico last month, Alvarez said: ‘Look, it doesn’t bother me. I try not to pay much attention, but I know what’s being said.

‘It’s all over social media. I think it’s more what’s being said online than what’s actually happening.

‘I’m very focused on this season, on what lies ahead with Atletico Madrid. So, I try to tune it out and think about myself, about continuing to grow as a player, and about winning.’

IcChelseanews says…

Alvarez is a top striker right guys? His movement, his quality and his ability to score on a regular basis is something that we are lacking at times. And to be honest, a fee of £87 million is not alot of money to pay these days is it
