Milos Kerkez said that there is no problem with his connection with Cody Gakpo on Liverpool's left wing.
The Liverpool left-back spoke at a press conference on Tuesday ahead of the Reds' Champions League meeting with Marseille, and one reporter suggested that fans expect more from the duo.
Asked whether he thinks there is a problem with his link-up with Gakpo, Kerkez responded: "It's not really a problem, I think I play well with Cody, I wouldn't call it a problem. "It is my job to give a winger the ball, to make space, to run, to overlap, to underlap, to do everything I can to open space for him to go.

"And I even create space then for a striker and then it is his decision what he is going to do. We don't have any problem, we talk always, often in training we do the combinations, so there is not really a problem."
After a tough start to the season, Kerkez's level has improved in recent weeks – so much so that Andy Robertson has largely been restricted to a squad role of late.
The Hungarian said that he has leaned on Robertson for advice during his bedding-in period at Anfield: "He has helped me a lot. We have spoken a few times.
"He is a legend here. He has done a lot of stuff for this club and it is a privilege to learn and listen. I want to improve."

Kerkez has nailed down his spot in the Liverpool team in recent weeks after a shaky start to the season, which saw him substituted in the first half of an away game against Burnley, before later losing his place in the team to Robertson.
The left-back said that all he needed was time to settle in: "I think yes, when I came here, I think every player needs a bit of time to adapt because you come to one of the biggest clubs in the world.
"I got help from everyone; from the boss, from the players, from staff, from everyone. I think in the last month or so I improved in a lot of areas but I am still not satisfied and of course I want more, and everyone is going to help me to do it."
