Fenerbahçe are the latest club to show interest in Manchester City forward Omar Marmoush.
The Egypt international has been linked with a move away from the Etihad in this window, with Aston Villa and Tottenham Hotspur also monitoring the situation.
Fotomac report on the latest developments regarding the Manchester City player’s future and Fenerbahçe are set to make a move.
Fener are keen to bring in a forward before the transfer deadline, partly due to the uncertainty around Youssef En-Nesyri.
The 28-year-old is expected to leave the Super Lig side this month, with Everton, Nottingham Forest, Napoli and Juventus all in the mix. A transfer to Italy looks likelier at this stage.
Subsequently, the Yellow Canaries are keen to add to their attacking options and Marmoush is the latest attacker to be identified.
Manchester City set for transfer talks
Transfer talks with Manchester City are expected to commence within the next week. Fenerbahçe want to loan the 26-year-old for the remainder of the season, just 12 months after arriving in UK. Loan offers are set to be made.
Marmoush’s Manchester City future has been thrown into further doubt with the recent arrival of Antoine Semenyo. The Ghana international has hit the ground running since signing from Bournemouth, scoring two goals in three games.
Tottenham’s Mathys Tel has also been linked with the Istanbul giants in the past couple of days. Again, Fenerbahçe are looking for a loan deal for the 20-year-old.
The Frenchman is said to be unhappy with his situation at Spurs and wants to find a new club in this transfer window. Like Marmoush, Tel only arrived in the Premier League during the last January window.
Marmoush has made just two league starts in a season hampered by injury and interrupted by AFCON. The former Frankfurt player was involved last night in the defeat to FK Bodø/Glimt.
He’s contracted to Manchester City until June 2029.
