Fans all say the same reaction to intriguing ex-Bucks star Khris Middleton news

The Washington Wizards are not yet in a position to become a legitimate NBA title contender despite acquiring star point guard Trae Young recently via a trade with the Atlanta Hawks.Former Milwaukee Bucks star forward Khris Middleton, meanwhile, could be on his way out of the Wizards, either before the upcoming NBA trade deadline in February orvia a buyout, according toJosh Robbins of The Athletic

“Middleton, 34, has shown some signs of life lately, but no longer looks like a potential difference-maker for a contending team. The majority of league sources whom The Athletic spoke with said they think Middleton’s most likely outcome is to remain with the Wizards through the deadline and be a buyout candidate.”

Fans want Middleton buck with the Bucks if buyout happens

If the Wizards decide to buy out Middleton, who has a player option worth $33.296 million for the 2025-26 season, many fans believe that there’s an obvious landing spot for the former Texas A&M Aggies star.

“Bet he goes back to the Bucks,” said a fan on X.

Another one said: “Back to the Bucks as a bench role player and scorer? I think its’ a role he can fill well and take some pressure of f his body holding up for heavy minutes. 15 to 20 per game.”

From a commenter: “get him back on the Bucks.”

“He should go back to the bucks they could use this,” a social media user posted.

Via a different commenter: “Come home Kash”

Said another: “COME HOME GOAT WE MISS U”

It’s easy to connect Middleton to Milwaukee. After all, his best years in the NBA have been with the Bucks, even winning a league championship in Cream City in 2021.

But nostalgia aside, Middleton, at this stage of his career, may not provide much to Milwaukee outside of experience, veteran presence in the locker room and some scoring. Even on a bad Wizards team, he is averaging fewer than 10 points per game with a sub-50% effective field goal rate.
