You can throw the records out when the Celtics and Pacers get together.

Well, the Pacers would probably prefer you do so, at least. Their 10-34 record is the worst in the league, although one of those wins came the last time the teams met, when the Celtics dropped a 98-96 decision at Indiana on Jan. 12.

The Celtics won the previous two meetings, taking a 103-95 decision at home on Dec. 22, then rallying for a 140-122 win at Indiana on Dec. 26.

Last Monday’s loss marked the beginning of a four-game road trip that concluded with a 104-103 loss at Detroit on Monday as the Celtics went 2-2.

Jaylen Brown had a game-high 32 points and 11 rebounds in the loss, but he missed what would have been a game-winning jump shot at the buzzer.

“You got to give credit to them,” Brown said. “They’re extremely physical. You feel it on every possession the whole game. I feel like we matched the level of intensity. We matched the level of physicality. But we just came up short.”

Tonight’s contest marks the final meeting between the two. Here is a preview.
