Mohamed Salah starts for Liverpool for the first time since November as Ibrahima Konate misses out against Marseille in the Champions League.
Salah hasn’t featured for the Reds since he was a first-half substitute in the mid-December win over Brighton & Hove Albion at Anfield but is back in the starting line-up as Arne Slot’s men go in search of back-to-back away victories in the European Cup.
The Egypt captain, who finished fourth with the Pharaohs at the Africa Cup of Nations, is named alongside Hugo Ekitike and Florian Wirtz in the attack as Liverpool aim to move back into the top eight of the Champions League in France.
It's Salah's first start for Slot since the 4-1 defeat to PSV on November 26 and his bombshell interview following the 3-3 draw at Leeds United.
Joe Gomez steps in for Konate, who flew back to France for private reasons earlier this week. Gomez starts alongside captain Virgil van Dijk with Jeremie Frimpong and Milos Kerkez named at right and left-back respectively.
Alexis Mac Allister returns to the starting line-up in place of Curtis Jones as the Argentina international begins alongside Ryan Gravenberch and Dominik Szoboszlai.
Liverpool: Alisson; Frimpong, Gomez, Van Dijk, Kerkez; Gravenberch, Mac Allister, Szoboszlai; Salah, Ekitike, Wirtz. Subs: Mamardashvili, Woodman, Endo, Robertson, Jones, Chiesa, Ngumoha, Nyoni, Gakpo.
