Moises Caicedo was the hero for Chelsea, who left it late to find a way past Pafos in a 1-0 victory on Wednesday evening.

The Blues thought they took the lead early on when Enzo Fernandez headed into the bottom corner. The Argentine was adjudged to have pushed defender Ken Sema on the back in the lead up to the goal.

Pafos hit the post later in the first-half after Jaja's shot deflected off Reece James and onto the woodwork. Chelsea dominated the second-half with Pafos goalkeeper Jay Gorter perhaps the best player on the pitch, but he was unable to keep out Caicedo's header 12 minutes from the end.

Below, **Bobby Vincent** rates the Chelsea players out of 10 based on their performance this evening:

**Filip Jorgensen**

In for Robert Sanchez. Had virtually nothing to do in the first-half but stayed cool when the ball headed back to him after an awkward pass from Malo Gusto. Jorgensen controlled the ball with his chest after the ball bounced just in front of him. Suffered some sort of injury and came off at the half-time break. **6**.

**Malo Gusto**

Back in action after missing the last three games through injury. Gusto made an important sliding challenge to deny a dangerous counter-attack from Pafos. Was not outstanding but equally was not bad. **6**.

**Wesley Fofana**

Fofana's second start in the space of a few days. Bit of a nervy start after being pressed high in his own area and eventually kicking it out of play. But Fofana grew into the match. Does really well for Caicedo's goal to set the midfielder up. **7**.

**Benoit Badiashile**

The Frenchman replaced Trevoh Chalobah in the back four. He was aggressive, stepping into midfield a couple of times to steal possession back for the Blues. Nearly gets one of the best assists you will see but Estevao Willian's shot was blocked. **6**.

**Jorrel Hato**

A well deserved start after impressing in recent appearances. Should have done better with a good chance just before the half-time whistle. Did well at left-back. **6**.

**Reece James**

Back after a couple of games out. Did okay. Passed it well. Came off at half-time. **6**.

**Moises Caicedo**

Very lively, as usual, out of possession; especially early on when he was trying to add some much-needed intensity into the game. Not been at his scintillating best recently but that was something a little closer to that tonight. Important moment to get the deciding goal. **8**.

**Pedro Neto**

Neto was trying to make something happen - almost too hard, it felt like, at times. Another frustrating evening for the Portugal international. Not coming off for him at the moment. **5**.

**Enzo Fernandez**

A bit further up this evening, in the No.10 role. Does really well to set up a good chance for Reece James on 16 minutes. Really unlucky to have an early goal ruled out for a push on the back of Sema. One of Chelsea's strongest performers. He looked as if he was going **7**.

**Alejandro Garnacho**

Kept trying, that's one thing you can't knock. But it was another really frustrating performance from Garnacho out on the Chelsea left. He's very direct but often too predictable. A positive: he worked very hard off the ball. **4**.

**Liam Delap**

Delap led the line for the Blues tonight. Very quiet in the first-half. A few nice touches when holding the ball up but struggled. **4**.

**Estevao Willian (on for James 46')**

Chelsea were crying out for a sprinkle of Estevao's magic and turned to the teenage sensation at the break. Almost made an immediate impact with a right-footed volley that was well saved. Estevao looked very dangerous when coming on for the second-half but was unable to find the winning moment for the Blues. **7**.

**Robert Sanchez (on for Jorgensen 46')**

On at half-time. Didn't have much to do. When he did, he made a crucial punch from a dangerous Pafos delivery on 88 minutes. **6**.

**Jamie Gittens (on for Garnacho 70')**

On for the final 20-or-so minutes. One of his first actions saw him booked. A few nice touches and dribbles. **6**.

**Joao Pedro (on for Delap 70')**

Liam Rosenior turned to the Brazilian with not too long left. Not able to make much of an impact but worked hard. **6**.

**Marc Cucurella (on for Hato 70')**

Cucurella tried to push Chelsea forward. Not able to get too involved. **6**.
