According to ClutchPoints' Tomer Azarly, there is a significant sense that the Clippers want multiple first-round picks for the Croatian big man in the wake of strong trade interest from other teams.
"The Clippers, however, have rejected trade offers for Zubac, with a belief around the league that they're seeking multiple first round picks in any potential deal for him,"Azarly wrote. "One team offered an unprotected first round pick and a pick swap in an offer for Zubac, sources said, but those talks didn't go anywhere."
Several teams like the Boston Celtics and the Indiana Pacers have been linked to Zubac.
Zubac has drawn tons of trade inquiries after the Clippers began their season with a brutal 6-21 record.
But as they survived from their rough start and now have won 13 of their last 16 games, it appears that the Clippers are now more convinced to keep the center as they aim to secure a strong season finish.
Zubac, 28, appeared in 37 games so far and is averaging 14.8 points and 10.8 boards this season.
