In his pregame speech ahead of the team's Thursday duel against the OKC Thunder, head coach Doc Rivers revealed that Porter Jr. (oblique muscle strain) will be unavailable on an indefinite basis for the Bucks.

“He’s not gonna play anytime soon, I can tell you that," he said, via Eric Nehm of The Athletic. "But we don’t know how long he will be out.

"I think it happened three or four games ago. He was playing through it. You could see him in the last two or three games grabbing it. They did an MRI yesterday and it is what is is."

Porter Jr. is set to miss Milwaukee's matchup in Oklahoma City.

The 25-year-old has been an important unit for the Bucks this season. In 23 games, he is averaging 16.8 points, 7.4 assists, 5.0 boards and 2.1 steals.

With Porter Jr. out significantly, Gary Trent, Gary Harris and Cole Anthony will draw more playing time for the Bucks. Ryan Rollins is also set for increased ball-handling duties.

The Bucks are currently 11th in the East with an 18-24 record.
