A look at what Tottenham’s starting lineup could look like after the January transfer window if all goes well.

Tottenham are still pushing to bring in new arrivals before the January transfer window comes to a close in just over a week. Thomas Frank has struggled to turn things around at Spurs, and it’s clear he needs more help in the way of talent.

Spurs have been hit by big injury blows in recent weeks, with Mohammed Kudus, Rodrigo Bentancur and Richarlison out for at least a couple of months, Tottenham know they need to add strength and depth in the absence of those players, and here we round up what a dream Spurs lineup could look like after this window, keeping in mind we have omitted those three injured players for now.

GK - Gugliemo Vicario

Vicario may have question marks over his head as far as his long-term future is concerned, with links to Italy, but he will remain number one for Spurs after this window.

RB - Pedro Porro

Porro is another player who is unlikely to be displaced, though Spurs could do with more competition here going forward.

CB - Cristian Romero

Romero is going to be key if Tottenham are to turn things around. Spurs need him in the right frame of mind for the next six months, and then they are likely to have discussions about his future.

CB - Micky van de Ven

Van de Ven is another player Spurs will have to battle to keep long term, but he is going to be here until the summer.

LB - Djed Spence

Spence will have competition with Udogie, but Frank seems to be leaning towards the Englishman currently.

CM - Curtis Jones

It’s unclear whether Tottenham will move for a midfielder this month as they prepare for the exit of Yves Bissouma in the summer. Liverpool star Curtis Jones has been linked, with his contract up in the summer of 2027. Liverpool could move to tie him down to a new deal, but Spurs are long-term admirers, according to reports.

CM - Conor Gallagher

A January signing, Gallagher is going to be a starter at Spurs for as long as Rodrigo Bentancur is injured barring any surprises.

CAM - Xavi Simons

Simons is going to have to lock down this role and prove himself over the coming months, with Lucas Bergvall likely to push him for starts.

RW - Brahim Diaz

Tottenham need a winger in the absence of Mohammed Kudus, and Real Madrid star Brahim Diaz has been linked. Diaz made the headlines for the wrong reasons following a silly penalty miss in the AFCON final, but the 26-year-old is a top-level player who would be a huge upgrade on the current Spurs wingers.

LW - Dejan Kulusevski

Kulusevski is still out for now, but he is expected back in the next couple of weeks. Kulusevski has been out all season, so he will be like a new signing for Spurs, offering a real upgrade out wide.

CF - Dominic Solanke

With Richarlison out, Solanke is likely to be the main starter, especially with Randal Kolo Muani struggling to impress. Solanke scored in the Champions League this week, so there are signs he will return to form after returning to fitness.
