Impressed former Tottenham boss Ange Postecoglou lavished praise on Arsenal after his first spying mission in his new role with UEFA.
The revered former Celtic manager – taking time away from the dugout after his chastening stint at Nottingham Forest – who joined UEFA's Technical Observer Panel last year – submitted his first report from the San Siro as he watched Mikel Arteta's side down Inter 3-1.
Postecoglou, namechecked with a return to Glasgow's east end, was left impressed by the form of Arsenal forward Gabriel Jesus as he bagged a brace and helped the Gunners secure a seventh straight win in the Champions League this season.
The 60-year-old's reputation took a dent after his misfire at the City Ground, however, his stock appears to be on the rise due to Tottenham's trials and tribulations under Thomas Frank.
In his official report published on the UEFA website, Postecoglou wrote: "Jesus' alertness in the box gave Arsenal a cutting edge to complement their ability to create opportunities from various avenues.
"Both goals were instinctive. The first was from a miss-hit shot that he was able to capitalise on and the second from a rebound off the crossbar.
"Both are a demonstration of a goalscorer's instincts as, while others are watching, he is anticipating an opportunity to score."
