Chelsea are set to recall striker David Datro Fofana from his loan spell with Turkish club Fatih Karagumruk. They hope to sell him before the January window closes, with Celtic a possible destination for the 23 year old Ivorian.
Some Chelsea fans might even struggle to remember a player who was signed from Norwegian club Molde in January 2023 but has struggled to make any impression at Stamford Bridge since.
Instead he has been sent out on loan to Union Berlin, Burnley, Goztepe, and now Karagumruk, where he has netted seven times in 14 appearances so far this season.
Both Charlton and Preston wanted him on loan at the start of this season, and he was very close to joining the former, but the move collapsed on deadline day.
Celtic have previously been linked with him, and now they are set to reignite their interest.
There is also interest from Derby County and Belgian side Royal Antwerp.
