Chelsea Receive Bournemouth Transfer Stance on £19m Star Amid Tosin Injury Scare

Chelsea have been told that they won’t be able to sign a defensive transfer target this month after Tosin Adarabioyo suffered a fresh injury.

The Blues won their first Premier League game under Liam Rosenior, beating Brentford 2-0 over the weekend. The Chelsea boss will hope to build on that momentum and climb up into the top four in their next game against Crystal Palace.

However, Blues defender Tosin Adarabioyo suffered a hamstring injury recently, and seeing as Chelsea is already looking to sign a centre-back, they are even more desperate now that Tosin is injured.

Chelsea learn Bournemouth’s stance on selling Senesi

The Blues have been linked to several centre-backs in recent months, but one name in the Premier League who’s sparked the interest of the Blues is Bournemouth’s Marcos Senesi. He has also attracted interest from Juventus and Barcelona.

According to talkSPORT, Bournemouth are adamant they don’t want to sell the 28-year-old, as they have already lost several key players this season. Antoine Semenyo joined Man City this month, and they also lost Ilya Zabarnyi to PSG, and Dean Huijsen to Real Madrid in the summer.

The report claims that Chelsea will have to consider alternative targets, as Bournemouth are very precious about Senesi. He has a £19m estimated market value, but based on his quality, and the Cherries’ reluctance to sell him, they would likely demand a lot more than that.

Who could the Blues sign this month?

In terms of potential centre-back signings in January, Rennes defender Jeremy Jacquet seems the most obvious choice, as the Frenchman is reportedly willing to move to Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea are in talks to sign him, and it is understood that Rennes could accept a bid of around £56m for the 20-year-old. Arsenal have also been linked, but the Gunners have all but accepted that Chelsea are the front-runners to land Jacquet this month.
