James has had All-Star weekend booked for each of the last 21 seasons, but this year he wasn't named a starter. When asked if he cares about missing the event, James was clear.

"No, not at all," he said in an interview. "I'm always grateful. I'm always grateful, for sure. If I'm there, I'll be there in attendance. If I'm not, I know I'll be able to take full advantage of it, I know exactly what I'll be doing. I'm good either way."

All-Star starters are chosen by fans, players, and media, while reserves are voted in by the league's coaches.

Despite not being a starter, James is putting together another strong season. Through 25 games, he is averaging 22.5 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 7.0 assists per game.

Since turning 41 in late December, he has averaged 25.0 points, 7.4 rebounds, and 7.3 assists per game.

Even if he doesn't make the All-Star Game this year, James continues to show he can carry the Lakers at an elite level and remain one of the NBA's top performers at 41.
