New Chelsea boss Liam Rosenior believes he's working with the world's best in his position by having Moises Caicedo available to him.
The Ecuadorian scored the winning goal late in the day as the Blues saw off Pafos in the Champions League, putting them into the top eight. Caicedo has added goals to his game and continues to grow in influence at Stamford Bridge.
He was highly-rated when at Brighton, leading to a transfer battle between Chelsea and Liverpool, and has kept improving in west London. The midfielder forms an impressive partnership with Enzo Fernandez in the middle of the pitch.
Caicedo's ability to break up play and win back possession has marked him out as one of the best defensive midfielders out there, but Rosenior believes he's as good as it gets.
He told TNT Sports: "Massive. I said before, for me, defensively he’s the best defensive midfielder in the world right now. He’s a joy to work with. In possession, out of possession, the way he blocks passing lines, the way he makes players around him better. I don’t know how many headers he’s scored in his career but it was a fantastic header in a really, really important moment n the game."
Caicedo has already scored five times this season - his best tally in a campaign since he made the move to Europe. The 24-year-old has become an integral figure but the player himself has played down his influence in the dressing room, instead seeking to lead by his actions.
"A lot of people tell me I’m a leader, I don’t talk too much in the dressing room but I like to show on the pitch or in training every day. It’s important," he said.

Former Chelsea man Joe Cole insists the huge outlay that it cost to get Caicedo to the capital now looks good business, despite plenty of people questioning whether the Blues had paid over the odds to land his signature.
"He’s improving all the time," said Cole. "People baulked at the £100m that was spent on him and he took a while to settle in. Around 18 months ago he got back to being that destroyer in midfield, breaking it up, connecting passes and he’s bult from that base and he’s added important goals and leadership."
