Kieran Gill shares what he's now hearing about Mykhailo Mudryk at Chelsea

Mykhailo Mudryk’s situation remains a bit of a mystery at Chelsea, with no one really knowing when the attacker is allowed to return.

Chelsea spent the summer transfer window largely building out their attack. It saw them add players like Alejandro Garnacho, Liam Delap, Jamie Gittens, Joao Pedro and Estevao Willian.

But Estevao is probably the only player from that list who can hold his head high at Chelsea right now.

He may only be 18 years of age, but Estevao continues to shine. Impressing Joe Cole with his performance against Pafos, where he caused all kinds of problems after coming on.

And there would be one more attacker in the Chelsea ranks right now, had it not been for a suspension, as Mykhailo Mudryk continues to wait in the wings.

Mykhailo Mudryk update emerges out of Chelsea

Mykhailo Mudryk has missed 32 games and counting since being suspended.

Speculation arose online recently about him being spotted in training videos and returning this month, which had some Chelsea fans excited.

A Ukrainian commentator claimed that Mudryk won’t be available all season for Chelsea in the wake of these rumours.

And now Kieran Gill has set the record straight via the Daily Mail.

‘Don’t be fooled by fake footage or rumours doing the rounds on social media, claiming that Mykhailo Mudryk is training again at Cobham. He has not been at the club’s headquarters, and you should wait for official word on his situation.’

Mykhailo Mudryk could do with a loan move

Mykhailo Mudryk will need a lot of time to get back up to speed after so long out due to suspension.

As mentioned, Chelsea already have a wealth of options in the final third, which makes his life even harder and points towards a possible loan move.

Strasbourg could be a good test for the winger against some decent opposition, which will allow him to get regular minutes and really showcase where he’s at.

Plus, the fact that Chelsea want to sign another attacker suggests he’s not in their immediate plans.
