Cole Palmer’s contract and wages at Chelsea

If United were to poach Palmer from Stamford Bridge, Ineos would have to have a bid accepted by Chelsea, and the negotiating power unfortunately lies with the London outfit.

That is because Palmer’s contract at Chelsea is valid until 2033. The 23-year-old signed an extension to his deal as recently as 2024.

Chelsea have handed out long-term contracts to several players to spread their costs under PSR over a longer period.

Man United can offer Cole Palmer a pay rise

Since the takeover, Ineos have been trying to get United’s wage bill back under control.

Several of the club’s top earners have been offloaded, and new signings have not been handed extortionate wages.

Palmer would easily be the highest profile signed by Ineos so far, so United could easily offer him a pay rise from his current ÂŁ130,000 per week wages.
