The Milwaukee Bucks lost to the reigning NBA champions Oklahoma City Thunder, on Wednesday evening at Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee, but not before Giannis Antetokounmpo added a poster dunk on Chet Holmgren to his ever-growing list of highlights.
Despite multiple defenders around him, Antetokounmpo decided to take it hard to the rim during a sequence with under seven minutes left in the fourth quarter.
Thunder big man Chet Holmgren was Oklahoma City’s last line of defense, but he stood no chance in stopping the two-time NBA Most Valuable Player, who used his left hand to throw it down right in the face of the former Gonzaga Bulldogs star.
Antetokounmpo could have also passed the ball to forward Bobby Portis, who appeared to have an open look in the paint, but the 10-time NBA All-Star must have wanted a sick dunk rather than a sweet assist during that play.

Bucks fall to Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and the Thunder
However, Antetokounmpo and company ultimately suffered a lopsided loss to the visiting Thunder to the tune of a 122-102 score. It was a tough ask for the Bucks to take down the NBA champs, especially since they were missing Myles Turner and Kevin Porter Jr.
Beating Oklahoma City even at full-strength is already a tall order for any team, let alone when missing key starters like Milwaukee had to deal with on Wednesday.
Antetokounmpo had 19 points and 14 rebounds in the loss to the Thunder, whileShai Gilgeous-Alexander erupted for 40 pointson a 16-for-19 shooting from the field.
Up next for the 18-25 Milwaukee side is a home game on Friday versus the Denver Nuggets.
