Chelsea Reportedly Sign Young Defender
Here We Go
According to Romano, the team have agreed a deal with Sheffield Wednesday to sign teenage defender Yisa Alao. It is a low-risk move at a base fee of £500,000 with undisclosed add-ons. It isn’t reported yet whether the full back will move immediately or remain with Wednesday on loan or go to another suitor. The left-back has made some sparse senior appearances this term, totalling 6 appearances across all competitions and getting around 300 minutes of play at the highest level. Having just gotten himself into the first team picture, it may be better for Alao to stay in Sheffield and get some minutes in a physical league for the next few months instead of making the move.
