"The Board of Directors has agreed to ratify the extension of the first men’s basketball team’s participation license in the EuroLeague for the next 10 seasons (up to the 2036–37 season), a competition of which it is a co-founding member. The Board reaffirms its commitment to always participate in the best existing competitions," the club has announced.

Earlier, Barcelona had already shown strong intent to remain in the EuroLeague following productive meetings between the club's top leadership and EuroLeague executives.

In recent months, multiple reports suggested Barcelona was also considering joining the NBA Europe project.

The club was viewed as one of the most significant potential franchises, given its global football brand and existing basketball presence.

Barcelona has a storied history in the EuroLeague, having won the title twice (in 2003 and 2010) and consistently competing at the highest level in European basketball.
