Lakers, Warriors reportedly not interested in trading for Nets star

Michael Porter Jr. reportedly does not appear to be on the Warriors' radar in the wake of Jimmy Butler’s injury, and the Lakers do not hold interest either.

Brooklyn Nets star forward Michael Porter Jr. has been linked to various trade rumors as the NBA trade deadline approaches, but it is reportedly more likely that he will remain in Brooklyn.

"The Nets continue to indicate they are comfortable keeping Michael Porter Jr. and aren’t in a rush to trade him," NBA insider Brett Siegel of ClutchPoints reports.

Siegel also adds that the Golden State Warriors and the Los Angeles Lakers—both previously linked with Porter—are not interested in acquiring Brooklyn’s top scorer.

"Porter doesn’t appear to be on the Warriors' radar in the wake of Jimmy Butler's injury, and the Lakers do not hold interest either, sources told ClutchPoints," he adds.

This season, Porter has appeared in 33 games for the Nets, averaging 25.0 points, 7.4 rebounds, and 3.2 assists per game.
