Kim Kardashian, Luka Doncic
Kim Kardashian is speaking out after a viral social media post sparked confusion and briefly linked her name to Los Angeles Lakers star Luka Doncic.
The reality TV star and businesswoman addressed the situation on a recent episode of the Khloé In Wonder Land podcast, where she explained how a fake social media post made it appear as though she was publicly flirting with the NBA guard, per RealityTea. Kardashian described the situation as “insane,” emphasizing that the message was never real and did not come from her.
The rumor gained traction after a post circulated online suggesting Kardashian commented on the Lakers’ Instagram page welcoming Doncic to Los Angeles and expressing interest in learning Slovenian. The post appeared authentic to many fans and even prompted a reply from Doncic, further fueling speculation.
In reality, the post originated from NBACentel, a parody social media account known for creating realistic but fabricated NBA-related content designed to resemble legitimate posts.
Kardashian Explains How the Fake Post Spread
During the January 21 podcast episode with her sister, Khloé Kardashian, Kardashian addressed what she described as a growing wave of fake dating rumors involving athletes.
“There is a basketball player that I think got traded to the Lakers, Luka,” Kardashian said. “There was like a fake tweet or comment on Instagram. I don’t know where it came from, but it was like, ‘Hi, you’re coming to LA. I want to learn Slovakian or whatever language.’”
Kardashian said the post made it look like she was reaching out to Doncic directly, something she strongly denied.
“And it looks like I’m hitting on this guy,” she said, adding that she had not even attended a Lakers game since.
Kardashian also noted that Doncic appeared to respond to the post, believing it may have come from her. She said she was unsure whether his reply was real or part of the fabricated exchange, but stressed that the entire situation was misleading.
Khloé Kardashian shared that she had experienced similar fake posts and images circulating online, prompting Kim Kardashian to again call out how convincing these fabrications can be. She referenced another instance involving an edited image and quote linking her to Kevin Durant, which she said was completely false.
“That is absolutely just not true and I never said that,” Kardashian said, questioning how such fake quotes continue to spread.
Fiancée’s Post Adds to Online Chatter
The timing of Kardashian’s comments drew additional attention after Luka Doncic’s fiancée, Anamaria Goltes, shared a reflective Instagram post recapping the past decade of her life, according to the NYPost.
Goltes posted a collection of photos highlighting moments from 2016 to 2026, including modeling work, pregnancy photos, and time spent with the couple’s two young daughters. Notably, Doncic did not appear in the images.
“2016–2026. A decade of good times, hard lessons, and everything in between,” Goltes wrote, later adding, “Plenty of ups and downs, but I wouldn’t change a single moment.”
The couple welcomed their second daughter on Dec. 4. Doncic missed several Lakers games last month while spending time in Slovenia for the birth.
Doncic and Goltes have largely kept their relationship private over the years, occasionally sharing family moments but rarely addressing speculation publicly.
While the two events unfolded within the same week, Kardashian’s comments focused solely on correcting the record regarding the fake post and addressing the broader issue of fabricated social media content involving public figures.
