Yan Diomande remains ‘very highly rated’ by Bayern Munich, however, there are concerns over the potential price tag, reports Christian Falk.
The reigning Bundesliga champions are looking to reinforce the left flank in the summer.
The 19-year-old has put himself in a prime position for a summer sale with a remarkable debut Bundesliga campaign, registering 11 goal contributions (in all competitions) in 18 games.

FC Bayern’s hope is to land a young talent who can provide some competition to out-and-out starter Luis Diaz.
However, there may be some concerns over Diomande’s expectations for minutes given how prominent a role he’s played for RB Leipzig in 2025/26.
“Yan Diomande is very highly rated at Bayern Munich, and they would like to have this player,” Christian Falk exclusively informed CF Bayern Insider.
“FC Bayern want to sign a rival for Luis Diaz on the left. They want a young player – he fits the bill as a 19-year-old talent.
“However, they need someone who would be okay with not having regular minutes on the left flanks, as Lucho is currently the out-and-out starter for that position. They need someone who will be there for the long term.”
The teenager has picked up 1,010 minutes from a possible 1,350 in the Bundesliga this season. That’s without including a 3-1 defeat to Leverkusen due to international commitments.

Can only Premier League clubs afford the Bayern target?
Assuming that RB Leipzig remain firm on their ideal price tag – which they’re entitled to with over four years remaining on the left winger’s contract – it does complicate matters for Bayern.
“Oliver Mintzlaff, a managing director at Red Bull, has been very clear about how much money they’d be looking to get for Diomande,” Falk went on to add.
“He said, “We won’t sell him for €80m, we won’t sell him for €90m” – which means they’ll just try to sell him for over €100m [£87m].
“There are rumours that Liverpool are thinking about such a deal and that there will be an offer in the next month of this range.
“What I can say for sure is that €100m is too expensive for FC Bayern for a player who would not yet be in the starting-XI.”
Without sales of epic proportions, it’s difficult to see how decision-makers at Säbener Straße will be able to justify an £87m spend on a backup winger.
Liverpool, however, find themselves in clear need of rejuvenating their wide positions, having faced consistent criticism over a lack of pace and directness.
Liverpool may commit to Diomande transfer
It won’t have gone unnoticed to any Premier League suitors that Yan Diomande has registered the joint-second top speed in the Bundesliga this term.
Players Top speed (KM/H)
Oliver Burke 36.01
Bazoumana Toure 35.98
Yan Diomande 35.98
Justin Njinmah 35.89
Adam Daghim 35.79

The wide forward isn’t just a mere pace merchant. At 19 years of age, the Ivorian is rubbing shoulders with some of the elite operators in the German top-flight in per 90 stats:
0.3 non-penalty xG (79th percentile)
1.25 shots on target (86th percentile)
0.27 xA (85th percentile)
1.79 chances created (71st percentile)
3.93 successful dribbles (100th percentile)
7.59 touches in opposition box (95th percentile)
6.43 duels won (85th percentile)
In that sense, Diomande’s potential exit from the Bundesliga this summer would be a huge loss for German football.
