Yisa Alao’s age and height
Yisa Marcus Alao was born in Doncaster, England, on 17 November 2008, and joined Sheffield Wednesday’s youth team as an under-7.
Alao is six feet, one inch tall (1.85 metres), the same height as Chelsea stars Cole Palmer and Wesley Fofana.
What is Yisa Alao’s position and style of play?
Alao is a left-sided player who can operate as a full-back, wing-back or winger. He has featured on the left of a back five most recently for Sheffield Wednesday.
The youngster has the traits of a modern wing-back, physically gifted and comfortable on the ball. He will need to improve his defensive skills and contributions in the final third.

Yisa Alao stats
Alao has only made five appearances in all competitions for Sheffield Wednesday, playing 186 minutes in total.
He made his debut in the Owls’ 2-2 EFL Cup first-round draw against Bolton, coming on in the 81st minute.
Since then, Alao has played in the Championship, FA Cup and League Cup, and performed well for a 17-year-old despite not scoring or assisting.

Alao has been linked with moves to Manchester United and Liverpool, but he is on the verge of joining Chelsea.
The Blues are set to pay an initial fee of more than £500,000 with some significant add-ons to Wednesday.
It seems likely that Alao will join up with Chelsea’s under-21 team for the remainder of the 2025/26 season.

Alao has a current rating of 55 and a potential rating of 78 in EA Sports FC 26, according to SoFIFA.
His best attributes include sprint speed (62), strength (61) and acceleration (60). This suggests that he may not yet be ready to play for Chelsea.
