Arne Slot will hold a Liverpool press conference this morning

Welcome to our live coverage of Arne Slot's press conference to preview Liverpool's Premier League trip to Bournemouth on Saturday. The Reds head coach will be us at 10am.

And he should be in a good mood after his side produced an excellent performance to 3-0 win at Marseille in the Champions League on Wednesday.

The victory extended the Reds' unbeaten run in all competitions to 13 matches but Slot will be keen to return to winning ways in the English top flight after a sequence of four straight draws.

Whether Federico Chiesa will be fit to feature in the squad that travels to Bournemouth remains to be seen after he was injured in the warm-up in midweek. Expect a question on the Italian's fitness.

Slot may also speak about Ibrahima Konate, who was also absent against Marseille for personal reasons, which sadly were revealed yesterday to be the passing of his father Hamady.

And, while trivial in comparison, with it being January, Slot is also likely to be asked about any developments on the transfer front.

Ian Doyle is at the AXA Training to bring you live updates from the press conference.

Thomas Frank issues hands-off warning over Micky van de Ven

Speculation mounts over the future of Tottenham Hotspur defender Micky van de Ven, who if reports are to be believed, is a target of Liverpool.

However, Spurs boss Thomas Frank has no intention of letting the Netherlands international leave to join up with the growing Dutch contingent at Anfield - or anywhere else for that matter.

Frank said: “I would say he’s very important for us, so Micky is a Tottenham player now and for the future.”

Federico Chiesa latest

Arne Slot has confirmed Federico Chiesa suffered an injury before Liverpool's game to Marseille in the Champions League - and with it being decided the the forward would benefit from treatment in France.

Slot said after the 3-0 win: “Two or three minutes after you guys (reporters) left yesterday he stepped out of the training session.

"We took him with us because we don’t expect it to be a long-term injury, so we are here tonight and a bit longer, we thought it would be good for him to have his treatment here.

"We were hoping that he might have been fit in time but he wasn’t. He tried in the warm-up but he wasn’t able to make it."

Expect an update this morning.
