The best possible line-up Chelsea can pick vs Crystal Palace as Jamie Gittens starts £54m man is dropped

Liam Rosenior is still waiting for the victory that will see him really start to win over Chelsea fans since taking over at the club.

The Blues have won three of the four games Rosenior has been in charge of, however the recent Champions League win against Pafos did little to impress the Stamford Bridge faithful.

Rosenior’s side broke the Chelsea record for pass completion rate, however it was notable that things were very safe and at times uninspired in the attacking third.

It was notable that the performance improved greatly upon the arrival of Estevao Willian to proceedings, and we are predicting he will return to the starting side as one of a few changes for the upcoming game against Crystal Palace.

Here is the rest of The Chelsea Chronicle’s Predicted XI to face the FA Cup holders, who will now be without Marc Guehi after his move to Manchester City.

Chelsea’s best XI to beat Crystal Palace

After an injury sustained by Filip Jorgensen, it has become clear that Robert Sanchez is going to be Rosenior’s number one for the foreseeable future.

There will be a second consecutive start for Malo Gusto after his brief absence from the side due to injury.

At centre-back, Trevoh Chalobah will continue to impress yet another Chelsea manager, despite frequent reports that he could be the first to leave the club should a new signing come in.

Josh Acheampong has achieved regular minutes since Rosenior came in, and will be back in the side to face the same opposition he kept quiet on the opening day of the season.

Marc Cucurella will return to the starting side, although this is no slight on the performance levels of Jorrel Hato, who is showing plenty of potential.

After a planned 45 minutes against Pafos, Reece James will start and captain the side, again featuring in the heart of midfield.

Alongside him, the hero of Wednesday night, Moises Caicedo will feature despite playing 90 minutes in midweek.

Enzo Fernandez also clocked up 90 minutes in the week, but will again be required to start in this London derby.

After impressing against Pafos, Estevao will be handed a start, with the fears being that Cole Palmer will again not be available for selection.

The opposite wing will see Jamie Gittens handed a rare start, seeing Pedro Neto dropped from the starting side.

Up front, it will be Joao Pedro in place of Liam Delap. Both strikers are still looking to really cement themselves as the regular number nine at the club.
