It appears that Liverpool are set for a quiet final 11 days of the January transfer window

Arne Slot has confirmed that he doesn't expect Liverpool to make any signings before the transfer window closes on Monday week (February 2).
Last week Liverpool failed to rival Manchester City for the £20m signature of Marc Guehi, who had been set to sign for the defending champions for £35m on deadline day in the summer before Crystal Palace pulled the deal at the last minute.
The ECHO understands the Reds did not regard signing Guehi this month as a market opportunity compared to last September and this coming summer, when the England international would have been a free agent had he played out the final six months of his Selhurst Park contract.
Liverpool are light in defence with right-back Conor Bradley and centre-back Giovanni Leoni ruled out for the rest of the season. But it appears they will not be doing any business, at the back or elsewhere, in the final 11 days of the window.
Asked at his press conference today whether he anticipates transfers, Slot said: "That's what I expect (there to be no movement).
"But I always say if there's an opportunity in the market and we think we can strengthen the squad this club will always try to do so. But at this moment it stays mainly the same."
Slot could be without two forwards for tomorrow's trip to Bournemouth (5.30pm kick-off) with Alexander Isak definitely sidelined and Federico Chiesa rated as "50-50" having also missed the 3-0 Champions League win at Marseille in midweek.
On Chiesa, the Reds boss said: "Federico wasn’t able to be on the bench on Wednesday. There was a recovery session yesterday, so we have to wait and see today.
"It’s difficult for me to say whether he is available for Bournemouth. We don't expect him to be out for long, so it would be 50-50 maybe if he is available for tomorrow.
"For the rest, at this moment in time, no-one picked up a knock, no-one had a problem after the game, but sometimes when you start training again you can feel something.
"But I expect all the same players to be available for tomorrow."
Ibrahima Konate was absent for the Marseille match, too, with the defender taking to social media yesterday to share the sad news that his father Hamady had passed away.
Slot said: "I've spoken to him a few times and these are private matters and they should stay that way.
"It's very obvious when something like that happens the player needs time to be there for his family and for himself."
Slot also confirmed that right-back Calvin Ramsay will return to the Liverpool squad tomorrow after being ineligible to face Marseille.
