Tottenham remain attentive to opportunities in the final stretch of the January transfer window and there are still a number of potential deals that could yet get through before the February 2 deadline.
Spurs have already brought in two players this month in England international midfielder Conor Gallagher from Atletico Madrid and teenage Brazilian left-back Souza from Santos.
Yet Souza might not be the only left-back to arrive in N17 this month as talks are also advancing with Liverpool over a deal for Andy Robertson, according to The Athletic.
Robertson is out of contract this summer and Tottenham were eyeing the experienced Scot on a Bosman but they've now brought forward those plans in a bid to beat the rush for the well-decorated defender.
Forward reinforcements are still very much on their radar too even though a big-money, marquee addition currently looks unlikely due to the difficult nature of the winter window.

RB Leipzig's Yan Diomande is appreciated but the Bundesliga outfit will not sell mid-season and a swoop for the Ivorian could be revisited in the summer when there will be stiff competition from the likes of Manchester United, Bayern Munich and PSG.
Monaco's Maghnes Akliouche is also on their shortlist but there's believed to be recognition that a deal could be complex this month.
Tottenham do have cash to spend though and a wide forward remains on their agenda, providing the right opportunity arises.
Despite links to West Ham's Crysencio Summerville - there was an enquiry - a deal does appear unlikely to materialise before the deadline as the Hammers are striving to keep the Dutchman.
Speculation that Spurs have explored a potential swap deal involving Antonin Kinsky and West Ham goalkeeper Mads Hermansen has emerged in the past few days, too.

Kinsky is keen to get out on loan because unless Guglielmo Vicario picks up an injury, he's unlikely to play again this season.
There's been vast interest from the likes of West Ham, Wolves, Auxerre, Freiburg and Besiktas but Tottenham will not let him leave without signing a replacement.
That's why the Hermansen talk does at least seem slightly logical but even still, you're effectively trading back-up goalkeepers which seems more hassle than it's probably worth given this would be an operation negotiated by two direct rivals.
Kinsky departing before the deadline cannot be ruled out at this stage, however, because he really needs minutes.
Mathys Tel at Tottenham

Spurs have also continued to resist approaches for Romanian centre-back Radu Dragusin. Roma have pushed hard and would be keen to sign Dragusin on an initial loan.
The rumours regarding his future just won't go away so again, a deal cannot be ruled out at this stage even if his exit would potentially require Tottenham to source a replacement. Perhaps that is Jun'ai Byfield.
Leipzig and West Ham have also been credited with an interest in Dragusin, who is desperate to play following a lengthy lay-off due to knee surgery.
Another Spurs departure that appears unlikely is Mathys Tel going out on loan. The Frenchman is open to that proposition but he's considered a key player, despite being dropped from the club's Champions League squad.
Paris FC, Roma and Villarreal are among a list of clubs to have made enquiries with his representatives. He is a primary target for the Ligue 1 new boys.
Elsewhere, we can expect to see some movement regarding Spurs youngsters and potential loans. Alfie Dorrington was recently recalled by Aberdeen and could head elsewhere.
Callum Olusesi is also itching for some senior experience after flourishing at youth team level. There were reports in Italy that Torino were interested but those rumours appear to have amounted to nothing.

There is also a firm chance Argentine striker Alejo Veliz, currently on loan at Rosario Central, could join Brazilian outfit Bahia on a permanent deal.
