Liverpool icon Andy Robertson is on the brink of joining Tottenham Hotspur immediately.
Spurs were in the mix to land the Anfield legend as a free agent in the summer, however, those talks have accelerated at warp speed and now Thomas Frank is close to landing the Scotland skipper in the coming days.
The Athletic report talks are going well between the clubs and the player himself. Robertson revealed last week he wanted to extend his Anfield stay but noted he wanted to remain a regular contributor.
£40m summer signing Milos Kerkez struggled mightily after his move from Bournemouth but the Hungary international's form has picked up and Robertson has remained in reserve.
The 31-year-old is eyeing regular game time before the World Cup and is poised to swap nine-and-a-half trophy laden years at Liverpool for a fresh start in the Premier League.
Robertson – linked with boyhood club Celtic – won two Premier League titles and the Champions League as well as the FA Cup and the League Cup with the Reds.
