Chelsea have now asked about signing £43m Bayern Munich player, ‘it’s true’ - journalist

With less than two weeks until the winter transfer window closes for Premier League sides, it is now or never for Chelsea if they want to get amongst things.

The most notable business involving the club so far includes the ending of Facundo Buonanotte’s loan with the club, as well as the addition of promising youngster Yisa Alao.

Reports have stated that the Blues are pushing to sign Jeremy Jacquet from Rennes, however the lack of recent progress on that deal could see the club move to other options.

It has been claimed that Chelsea want to buy a centre-back for Liam Rosenior, who could go his whole first season without Levi Colwill being available due to injury.

Chelsea ask about signing Kim Min-Jae

One player who would fit the bill for what they are looking for is Kim Min-Jae, who is by no means a regular at the back for Bayern Munich.

Links between the club and the player have existed before, and now journalist Christian Falk has stated that Chelsea have asked about the conditions of signing him again.

He said to BILD: “It’s true. And that also explains why they can already make some moves in central defence. If Min-jae Kim says he wants to leave, they won’t put any obstacles in his way. If he says he wants to stay, then you don’t have that problem. But if he does leave, of course you also bring in money.

“Chelsea would have that money, and Bayern could then reinvest that money into the players we’ve just been talking about. So there’s definitely a dynamic there. Chelsea obviously have a shortlist with several players on it, but the fact alone that they’ve now made contact about Kim shows that he has a market.”

No wins against Palace since Mauricio Pochettino was in charge…

Is Liam Rosenior the man to turn this run of draws into a win?

Kim Min-Jae could be perfect for Liam Rosenior

Despite making 20 appearances for Bayern so far this season, the South Korean has only started in 11 of those games.

He has a goal and assist to his name, and his ability on the ball could be a real benefit for the way Rosenior is wanting to play.

He has completed 94.5% of his passes this season, a stat which falls in line with Chelsea’s most recent performance.

The Blues broke their own record for pass completion against Pafos, and if that is how the manager wants his players to play, Kim looks the perfect signing to address the current issues in the squad.
