Ousmane Dembélé’s (28) contract situation at Paris Saint-Germain has become a topic since he won the Ballon d’Or back in September. Having won the prestigious individual award, there has been a desire, from the player’s side, for that status to be reflected in his salary.
Dembélé is already PSG’s highest-paid player, earning €1.5m per month. However, given his importance and his global recognition, which manifested itself in that Ballon d’Or award, there is a desire to increase that salary further. It had been reported that the France international had even rejected a contract extension offer, however, his entourage denied those reports, via **Le Parisien.**
The former Barcelona and Borussia Dortmund forward’s current deal runs until 2028, but PSG won’t break the bank to extend it, club president Nasser Al-Khelaifi confirmed in an interview with **[Canal Plus](https://x.com/CanalplusFoot/status/2013684332959772957).**
_“We have a salary cap, as everyone knows. The team and the club are the most important. Ousmane is a club legend. I love Ousmane as a person and as a player,”_ said PSG’s president. Dembélé has recently begun to rediscover his best form, notably netting a brace against Lille OSC last weekend.
