Report: Chelsea have'offered'Tottenham the chance to sign£38.5 million star this month

Chelsea find themselves in a situation where a number of players need to be offloaded this month.

The Blues’ current priority appears to be towards making signings, with a central defender and a central midfielder on the radar.

Douglas Luiz is attracting the interest of Chelsea in a potential loan move, which would see him join until the end of the current campaign.

That isn’t all, as Jeremy Jacquet is locked in talks over a move to Stamford Bridge. But this one looks a little more unlikely due to difficulties over fee and availability.

But, for a central defender to come in, it seems as if Chelsea need to clear one out.

Where does Douglas Luiz fit in at Chelsea?🤔

It would be a temporary deal…

Chelsea offer Axel Disasi to Tottenham

Axel Disasi had been a part of the Chelsea bomb squad prior to Enzo Maresca’s departure.

On the flip side, Liam Rosenior has given him a clean slate at Chelsea, having included him in first team training sessions, but his future still remains uncertain.

Now, according to Ben Jacobs via YouTube, Disasi has been offered back to Tottenham.

“They’ve reintegrated Axel Disasi, and my feeling there is that Chelsea can have their cake and eat it, because if they speak highly about Disasi and take him out of the bomb squad, which they’ve done, then obviously, if people come in.

“Chelsea are in a stronger position in the market to sell, and the likes of Tottenham in the past, just before Disasi went on loan to Villa, not that they’re there now, but they’ve looked, and therefore, the player has been offered back to Spurs. I don’t think anything’s going to happen there.”

What is the biggest difference you’ve noticed between Enzo Maresca and Liam Rosenior’s Chelsea?👀

Axel Disasi’s exit is for the best

Chelsea are already looking to actively bring in a central defender this month in the form of Jacquet.

There’s also an interest in Harry Maguire from Manchester United for the summer transfer window, which shows the Blues aren’t quite happy with their current options.

A move away is the best for all parties. Chelsea can hopefully get a fee for the defender, and he can go and get the regular minutes he needs at this stage of his career.
