Nuggets forward records statline previously achieved only by Wemby in NBA history

Nuggets forward Peyton Watson became only the second player in NBA history, after Victor Wembanyama, to record 35 points, 4 blocks, 2 steals, and 6 three-pointers in a single game.

Denver Nuggets breakout Peyton Watson made history in Thursday's 107–97 win against the Washington Wizards.

The 23-year-old forward finished the game with 35 points (10/16 FG, 6/8 from three), 8 rebounds, 4 blocks, and 2 steals.

This marked only the second time in NBA history that a player recorded a stat line of 35 points, 4 blocks, 2 steals, and 6 three-pointers in a single game, according to Underdog NBA.

The only other player to accomplish this feat is San Antonio Spurs phenom Victor Wembanyama.

Watson has been one of the Nuggets' main contributors after several players, including Nikola Jokic, went down with injuries.

Without Jokic this season, Watson is averaging 23.1 points, 6.3 rebounds, 2.8 assists, 1.3 steals, and 1.4 blocks per game, while shooting 50.5% from the field and 45.7% from three.

Overall this season, Watson is averaging 14.5 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 1.9 assists in around 30 minutes per game.
