Opinion: He's been one of Chelsea's best players under Liam Rosenior, but Crystal Palace know how to stop him

Liam Rosenior will be looking for his second Premier League win as Chelsea manager when the Blues take on Crystal Palace this weekend.

He picked up his first one last Saturday after Chelsea beat Brentford 2-0 at Stamford Bridge.

Since then, Rosenior’s side have picked up another win, this time against Pafos in the Champions League.

Enzo Fernandez has arguably been Chelsea’s top performer under Rosenior and played well on Wednesday night, while teammate and compatriot Alejandro Garnacho has also impressed.

DISCUSS: Garnacho been the underrated STAR of Liam Rosenior’s Chelsea spell so far… ⭐

Brace against Arsenal, superb against Pafos.

Alejandro Garnacho has been one of Liam Rosenior’s best players

Like Fernandez, Garnacho also had a good game against Pafos. That has been a common theme since Rosenior’s arrival.

According to Sofascore, the winger created one big chance and registered one key pass in Chelsea’s latest Champions League outing.

As well as that, Garnacho completed two out of four crosses and both the dribbles that he attempted. Simply put, he put in the kind of performance a manager would expect from a wide man.

Before that, it was Garnacho who scored both of Chelsea’s goals in their 3-2 defeat to Arsenal in the Carabao Cup semi-finals. He took them excellently and has kept his side alive in the tie going into the second leg.

Garnacho is certainly thriving right now, but Palace will be confident that they can stop him this Sunday.

Alejandro Garnacho has poor attacking record against Crystal Palace

Garnacho has not had too much success against Palace in the past. In the Premier League, he has only actually ever won one game.

On an individual level, his record against the Eagles does not make for good reading either. So far, the Argentina international is yet to score in a league fixture versus Palace.

Garnacho will be hoping that changes this weekend, and he should get the opportunity to try and make that happen. Being one of Chelsea’s most in-form players at the moment, it is very likely that the former Manchester United star starts at Selhurst Park.
