Manchester City could have four players back for their Premier League game against Wolves but their injury problems persist. The Blues were missing 10 for the trip to the Arctic Circle, which stretched to 11 when they signed Marc Guehi and 12 when Jeremy Doku did not train the day before the game.

Doku was an unused substitute in the 3-1 defeat but will hope to feature against Wolves on Saturday as City look to get back on track in the Premier League. He will be joined by Crystal Palace captain Guehi, who will make his debut for his new side after completing a £20m move.

Antoine Semenyo and Bernardo Silva will also come back into the squad after missing the trip to Norway. Semenyo, like Guehi, is not eligible for the Champions League until the knockout rounds begin while Silva was serving a suspension after three yellow cards in the competition.

Matheus Nunes could also return to the squad after missing the last two games with flu. The defender will be assessed by medical staff on Friday to see if he is fit enough to come back, with neither Rico Lewis nor Rayan Ait-Nouri able to successfully fill in for him in the last two games.

Nico Gonzalez is still out with the injury he picked up against Brighton though, meaning Guardiola will be missing at least seven for the game including three centre-backs in Ruben Dias, Josko Gvardiol and John Stones. Guehi's arrival may allow Max Alleyne a breather on the bench after struggling in his last two games.

"Really good [to have Guehi] considering the absences with central defenders," said Guardiola. "Matheus still has the virus, I don't know what the doctor will say this afternoon and Nico I don't think so."
