Mohamed Salah reportedly features among 50 summer transfer targets being pursued by the Saudi Pro League. The Liverpool star signed a new contract last summer, but he has been heavily linked with an exit, particularly to the Middle East with major moves anticipated following the 2026 World Cup.

According to talkSPORT, the list of targets also includes Bruno Fernandes, Vinicius Jr, Robert Lewandowski and Casemiro. Saudi interest in Salah has been prominent for several years, with sizeable offers proposed.

A January move to Saudi Arabia looked genuinely possible after some friction with Arne Slot. That relationship has since been partially mended before Salah departed for AFCON, and he returned straight into the Liverpool starting line-up for their Champions League victory against Marseille earlier this week.

Speaking to TNT Sports on Salah after the European victory, Slot said: "[In] The moments when I didn't play him, I was trying something different.

"We have missed goals from all the ball possession. If there's one player in the history of Liverpool that can score goals, it's Mo Salah.

"It says a lot about how big a professional he [Salah] is that he can be away for more than a month with a different team and be so fit to play 90 minutes for us after one day of training.

"He was so close to a goal. It would usually be a goal from him, but it didn't harm us because we scored three."

Though he did not return with a goal or assist, it was a great night in France for Liverpool with Dominik Szoboszlai scoring a free-kick and Jeremie Frimpong forcing an own goal.

With the 33-year-old fully back in the fold, Liverpool have reportedly made it abundantly clear to Al-Hilal, NEOM FC and Al Qadsiah that he won't be departing during the final 10 days of the winter transfer window.

Salah's deal runs until June 2027 and - while a summer transfer remains a possibility - Liverpool are adamant they want him to fulfil his existing contract.

He was set to become a free agent this past summer before signing lucrative terms to remain under contract with the club for a further two years.

A staggering £150million bid was tabled for Salah in 2023 by Al-Ittihad, and it's now feasible they could revive their pursuit.

A significant overhaul is anticipated in Saudi Arabia over the coming months - with N'Golo Kante, Karim Benzema and former Reds' midfielder Fabinho all potentially on their way out.
