La Liga giants Barcelona are closing on a deal to add to the club’s defensive ranks at youth level.
This comes amid confirmation that, all going according to plan, the Blaugrana will bring in Juwensley Onstein before the month is out.
Onstein, for his part, is an 18-year-old stopper, who chiefly lines out in a central role.
The Dutchman is currently plying his club trade with Belgian outfit Genk, and is also a regular at youth level for the Netherlands.
His impressive efforts with Genk’s reserves across the season to date have long been piquing interest amongst some of Europe’s leading clubs.
And as alluded to above, late this week, one such suitor appear to have positioned themselves at the front of the queue for his signature.
As per a report from market insider Matteo Moretto:
‘Barcelona want Juwensley Onstein from Genk. An agreement between the clubs is close. Onstein has already agreed to join Barcelona.’
