Julian Alvarez’s agent has insisted he has not met with Deco amid fresh speculation about a possible transfer to Barcelona in the summer transfer window.
Reporter [Ben Jacobs](https://x.com/JacobsBen/status/2013649115729523179) has claimed Deco met with Alvarez’s agent Fernando Hidalgo this month, but the forward’s representative insists this is not the case.
“It is not true, I have not met with Deco or anyone from Barcelona during the current period,” he told [Eram News](https://www.eremnews.com/sports/yeijhec).
“Any club interested in Julian should contact the management of Atletico Madrid, as the player has a contract and is committed to it.”
Alvarez’s future is creating plenty of headlines with Barcelona continuing to be linked with the forward despite the fact he’s expected to cost over €100 million and therefore likely out of the club’s financial reach.
Barcelona aren’t the only club thought to be keen on the Argentina international who is getting the rumor mill all excited ahead of the summer window.
