Andy Robertson and his proposed move to Tottenham will naturally have repercussions for Kostas Tsimikas. The Greek Scouser has fallen out of favour at Roma, and it now looks like Liverpool will recall him as cover should Robertson depart for the London club.

Starts have been sporadic for the 29-year-old in Rome, cameos have been brief, and the Greek international has struggled to build any real rhythm in a side still searching for consistency of its own.

Roma boss Gian Piero Gasperini has effectively moved on from the Liverpool defender already according to Italian reports, with sporting director Frederic Massara.

Now according to journalist Ben Jacobs, Liverpool is set to open dialogue to bring Tsimikas back to Anfield should Robertson depart. Jacobs has taken to X to report:

“Liverpool set to approach Roma to recall Kostas Tsimikas if Andy Robertson moves to Spurs. Understand Robertson has told Liverpool he is keen on a move to Tottenham. No formal recall clause in Tsimikas’ loan, but sources close to player have made it clear he wants to return to Liverpool.”
