Tottenham Hotspur are keen to sign Andy Robertson from Liverpool in the January transfer window.
AS Roma are willing to cut Kostas Tsimikas’ loan deal short.
Liverpool are exploring the idea of bringing the Greece international back to Anfield this month. Tottenham Hotspur have approached to sign Andy Robertson, who is in the final six months of his contract. Talks are ongoing over Robertson’s potential exit.
The Reds stalwart has won seven major trophies at the club, including two Premier League titles and the Champions League, but has fallen down the pecking order since Milos Kerkez’s £40 million summer arrival from AFC Bournemouth.
If Robertson is granted an exit, which would bring the curtain down on eight-and-a-half years’ service, Liverpool would need left-back cover for Kerkez. Tsimikas joined Roma on loan in August but has struggled for regular minutes. He has made only four Serie A starts for I Giallorossi.
The Italian side are open to Tsimikas ending his time in the Eternal City, per transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano. Romano posted on X: “Understand AS Roma have already given green light to Kostas Tsimikas return to Liverpool if Robertson joins Spurs. It’s almost over between Tsimikas and Roma with #LFC ready to welcome the left back again. No recall clause but club to club contact.”
