Trade rumors heat up as the Golden State Warriors and Miami Heat explore a potential Jonathan Kuminga-for-Andrew Wiggins swap.
Trade rumors are swirling around Jonathan Kuminga as the Golden State Warriors and Miami Heat reportedly explore a potential deal.
Golden State Warriors / Schedule
Marc Stein of The Stein Line reports that one option on the table is a Kuminga for Andrew Wiggins swap, which could bring Wiggins back to the Bay Area after he was traded to Miami last February for Jimmy Butler.
At the same time, the Warriors are weighing the possibility of keeping Kuminga past the trade deadline to rebuild his value.
Tensions between Kuminga and the team since last summer's restricted free agency talks make this option complicated, but Golden State is still considering whether playing him for the rest of the season could increase his trade value.

Another factor is Kuminga's $24.3 million team option for next season, which could make him part of a more impactful offseason trade if the Warriors decide to pick it up.
Through 19 games this season, Kuminga is averaging 12.1 points, 5.9 rebounds, and 2.5 assists per game, shooting 45.4 percent from the field and 32.1 percent from three.
Wiggins, in 41 games for the Heat, averages 15.9 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 2.8 assists per game, shooting 47.1 percent from the field and 39.8 percent from three.
