Everton could sign a new striker this month.
With Thierno Barry and Beto only netting six Premier League goals between them so far this season, a new frontman would surely be welcomed by David Moyes.
Everton have been looking, as reports say attackers such as Jorgen Strand Larsen, Youssef En-Nesyri, Tammy Abraham have all been considered by The Friedkin Group.
However, a story from ESPN regarding Arsenal actually gives Everton a reason to wait until the summer for a new striker, when Gabriel Jesus could well be up for sale.

Arsenal plotting summer swoop for Julian Alvarez – which could help Everton sign Gabriel Jesus
Football Transfers recently claimed that Everton like Jesus and would be interested in bringing the Brazilian to the Hill Dickinson Stadium.
Arsenal are unlikely to sell now with Mikel Arteta still in contention to win four competitions, but ESPN say the Gunners are currently trying to set up a summer deal to sign Alvarez from Atletico Madrid.
When the summer arrives, Jesus will only have 12 months remaining on his contract, and the fact Arsenal are lining up an expensive deal for the Argentina international suggests they would be open to doing business with Everton for the Brazil international, especially with Viktor Gyokeres already at the Emirates Stadium.
Why Gabriel Jesus is worth the wait for David Moyes
Of course, Everton could use a new striker now, but a top talent like Jesus – who can boast 77 goals in 236 Premier League appearances and four Premier League titles – is surely worth waiting for.

In terms of a potential fee, Everton may not even have to spend too much to land Jesus due to his contract situation – if Arsenal fail to sell the South American this summer, he could depart on a free transfer in 2027.
So, if the Gunners can make progress with a move for Alvarez, Everton would be fools not to at least enquire about the Arsenal No.9 and his situation.
